Abstract

Hollow core slab plate structure is designing based on construction project of the Civil Engineering Disaster Laboratory building of Brawijaya Malang University. By changing the initial structure it’s conventional plates. Hollow core slab are designed in terms of the maximum permit stress due to prestress strands and the load on the plate, does not exceed the maximum permissible control limits with stresses and deflections. This first stage is designed of hollow core prestress plates by determining the hollow core slab thickness and the required of prestressed wire. Designed 6 in thick prestressed plates with fc’ = 35 MPa. Designed to use 6 pieces of prestressed strands, 7/16 in diameter with fpu = 270 ksi for 6 m’s span and 5/16 in diameter with fpu = 250 ksi for 3.5 m’s span. Then analysis the portal structure with a combination load between dead load, live load, seismic load in accordance with SNI. The building structure analysis using StaadPro shows the output of the maximum deviation is 31,90 mm with a drift ratio is 0.0014<0.0025. This building structure has security controls fulfilled. Designed size 500x300 mm and 400x300 mm main beam. Designed size 450x450 mm coloumn and 250 mm shear wall thickness.
