Abstract

Piranha Vapestore is a vape store that was established in 2014. At that time, vape was not as famous as it is now. Piranha Vapestore is one of the pioneers of vape industry in Malang. Owner of Piranha Vapestore said that consumer confidence in vape products is no more than the role of Piranha Vapestore employees in explaining products to consumers, therefore the owner requires employees to always know the product. Because the vape industry like technology that always releases a variety of the latest products. The purpose of this study is to determine persuasive communication activities in increasing consumer confidence in vape products in Piranha Vapestore Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach and type of research is descriptive. Techniques that we use for data collecting is observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is performed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. To determine the validity of the data we use triangulation of data sources by checking the data obtained from among research subjects. The results of this study are that the persuasive communication techniques used by Piranha Vapestore employees in increasing consumer confidence in electric cigarette products indicate that there are seven from ten types of techniques used by Piranha Vapestore employees.
