Abstract

Plumbing system is on of important elements in construction. Planning clean water and waste water piping system at Arnava Batu Hotel Building is designed to fulfil the needs of clean water and to reduce negative effect not only on residents but also on the environment. Planning are made based on established standard and regulations is a key of success on plumbing system at this building, with considering environmental aspect to avoid contaminating of the surroundings environment and need to see from technical, economical, and aesthetical aspect. Needs of clean water depends on type and amount of plumbing equipment. Calculations of head loss on pipe using Darchy-Weisbach’s equation. The amount of water needed at Arnava Batu Hotel building is 35,147 m3/ hour with wastewater discharge is 281,173 m3/day. Diameter of vertical pipes from ground water tank to roof tank is 5 inch, while the sizes of other pipes ranging from ½ inch – 6 inch. Ground water tank capacity is 125 m3 with a lift pump power of 10 kW, while there’s two roof tank with capacity each tank is 30 m3 with thrust pump power of 70 watt. Equalization tank capacity is 84,64 m3 with pump power capacity of 10 liter/s.
