Result : The result of this study indicate that there is an effect of Benson’s relaxation techniques on sleep quality of diabetes mellitus clients with the average total score after Benson’s relaxation technique was carried out 18,83 and theresult of the T-Dependent (Paired Sample T Test) obtained the result of Sig. 2 Tailed 0,000. Discussion : Benson’s relaxation technique speeds up comfortable and relaxed condition, consequently the secretion of the catecholamine and cortisol hormones is inhibited, then the production of endorphins, encephalins, and serotonin is increased, the stimulation of the Reticular Activating System (RAS) decreases, then the secretion of the melatonin hormone increases when the brain relaxes and Bulbar Regional Synchronizing (BSR) is active, causing a person to fall asleep.
