Abstract

Religious differences are a necessity in school life. Therefore, in order to create a harmonious social nuance of the school, Islamic religious education learning is one of the instruments that can be used in internalizing religious tolerance values to students at school. This research aims to describe the views of teachers and students on religious differences in schools, internal social relations and inter-religious groups and internalization of religious tolerance values through the learning of Islamic religious education in SD Negeri 1 Ngadas. As for the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with interview data collection techniques, direct observation, participant observation, documentation, records and physical devices. The results of this study indicate that teachers and students at SD Negeri 1 Ngadas have an inclusive view of the religious differences that exist in schools so that the social relations of teachers and students do not appear to be insulated and run harmoniously because they assume the custom that unites their conditions, the situation has resulted the need to internalize the values of religious tolerance through the learning of Islamic religious education which is carried out by giving Islamic stories, granting existence and habituation.
