Abstract

The use of technology for now is increasing rapidly as well. Especially in the current information system technology. A lot of information is spread easily and quickly, one of which is technology in tourism information systems. The growing internet and smartphone technology also helps expand information systems by utilizing GPS (Global Positioning System). The current operating system used in smartphones is increasingly sophisticated and developing, for example Android. The developers of this operating system try to spoil smartphone users so that the needs of its users are met. One of them is the Android operating system. This system is designed to be able to provide convenience for users so that it is easier to go to tourist attractions that want to be visited. And the advantages of the system that is built is that it can provide accurate and accurate information supported by complete visual data such as tourist descriptions and tourist photos. From testing the android tour guide application using the blackbox method, all the test material successfully runs well and the functional application can function properly. To prove that the system is running well, a number of questionnaires were addressed to users of this system. Samples taken were 30 people who were prospective users. Based on the test questionnaire that has been made, then the conclusions that can be taken is 73.5% of respondents agree on the feasibility of using the system. And the rest of the respondents answered strongly agree. Then from these answers the respondents can be concluded that the system is feasible to use.
