The purpose of this research is to study about the effect of GA3 concentrate and the length of seed submersion toward seed germination and the growth of mahogany seeding (Swietenia mahogany L). This research held on February until April 2009 in Agriculture and Husbandry of Muhammadiyah University of Malang research acreage, placed on the height 0f 560 m dpl, with the average of rainfall is 2000 mm/year. The appliances needed in this research are analytical scales, little spade, hoe, bucket, sieve with 6 mm hole, stirring tool, camera, measuring cup, stationary, tub sow, hand sprayer, and oven, while the ingredients needed in the research are sand, water, gibberellins acid, and mahogany seed. The method used in this research is random group program which is arranged in factorial mode, consist of two factors. The first factor is GA3 concentrate essence for measuring the growth with four grade, they are, G0 : Ga3 concentrate 0 ppm, G1 : GA3 concentrate with 50 pm, G2 : GA3 concentrate with 100 ppm, G3 : GA3 concentrate with 150 ppm. The second factor is the length of seed submersion (P) with three (3) grade, they are : P1 : submersion for 6 hours, P2 : submersion for 12 hours, P3 : submersion for 18 hours. The result of the variety analysis shows that, based on the observation, the given GA3 concentrate and the length of mahogany seed submersion did not emerge effect, included the percentage of germination, the growth of germination, value of germination, height of seeding, stem diameter, leaves amount, root length, wet weight and dry weight. Although it did not show obvious effect, the treatment without GA3 concentrate result percentage of germination, growth of germination, value of germination, height of seeding, stem diameter, leaves amount, root length, wet weight and dry weight shows the best result. Treatment on 6 hours seed submersion resulted the best seed germination and the growth of seeding.
