Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Application of the Numeration Literacy Culture in Class 3 Thematic Learning in Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School Malang, (2) Constraints on the Application of Numerical Literacy Culture in Class 3 Thematic Learning at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School Malang, (3) Efforts to Overcome Constraints Application of the Numeration Literacy Culture in Class 3 Thematic Learning at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 1 Malang. This study uses qualitative research and descriptive research types. Sources of data were obtained through school principals, grade 3a teachers, and 3rd grade students totaling twenty six students. This study was located in Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School Malang in March-April 2019. Data collection techniques used observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. The results showed that (1) The application of the Literacy Literacy Culture to Thematic Learning has been applied to learning since 2017/2018, numeracy literacy is applied to the preliminary, core, and final activities in the implementation of learning activities, (2) constraints in applying numeracy literacy culture to thematic learning, the teacher has difficulty finding activities that can grow numeracy and the teacher applies more numeracy according to the theme of thematic learning, (3) efforts to overcome the constraints of applying numerical literacy culture to thematic learning by increasing the number of teacher training on numeracy literacy and programming literacy activities numeration to be specifically programmed to improve the culture of numeracy literacy for students. Conclusions and suggestions from the study that the application of numeracy literacy in thematic learning has not run optimally. His advice is to form a numeracy literacy team and need to be further developed with a numerical literacy program specifically.
