Abstract

Cloth of CC 17088V3/R is one kind of clothes that weaving department PT. Eratex Djaja Ltd, Tbk have. When this research did, there were some defective parts appearing which could cause low grade products grade A to grade C dan D. The output of production result of grade C and D still higher is more than 10%. It because the company just get low profit of products. The objective of the research is to reduce the defective parts in order to cause low grade product. By failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) method is a method to identification and prevent some failure mode that here potential to cause the product being defective. FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis) also assist to determine the repairing alternative given. So the potential failure mode can be held down throught the repairing steps based on a priority. Fish bone diagram is to help finding the main problems of defect and measurement system analysis is a supporting tool to identification severity value, occurrence and detection will be acquired by risk priority number value. The result of this research are detective misspick, double end, thin bar and float that cause low grade product in company. To appear the repairing step is to do check in 100%”break yarn”used list of “break yarn”data. The list of “break yarn” is to attach operator done, give the warning and evaluation work of operator drawing In, meanwhite, to make repairing procedure of defect, instructions operational work for each machine and add detector is eye glass therefore to reduce the defects will create process production of cloth of CC 17088V3/R more effective.
