Abstract

The research was descriptive research with survey basic titled: “Positioning Analysis of SMK Negeri 8 Malang according male and female students perception”. The research aimed to find out whether any different and what perception of male and female students perception about positioning at SMK Negeri 8 Malang as determination based in percepting positioning in their school. The differing describing equation was: D = -3.318 + (- 0.060) X1.1 + 0.125 X1.2 + 0.273 X1.3 + (-0.359) X1.4 + 0.130 X2.1 + 0.749 X2.2 + 0.063 X3.1 + (-0.243) X3.2 + (-0.337)X4.1 + (-0.439) X4.3 + 0.255 X4.4 + 0.947 X5.1 + 0.342 X5.2 + (-0.764) X5.3. But after testing by using Wilks’ lambda, there found result that the positioning at SMK Negeri 8 Malang percepted without any difference since the Wilks’ Lambda 0.870 was close to 1 means that average data group values was same. In hypothesis I beside at Wilk’s Lambda value test, it was supported by F value in F number and significance X1.1 = 0.608, X1.2 = 0.627, X1.3 = 0.632, X1.4 = 0.416, X2.1 = 0.706, X2.2= 0.054, X3.1= 0.539, X3.2= 0.765, X4.1= 0.067, X4.3= 0.571, X.4.4 = 0.931, X5.1 = 0.078, X5.2 = 0.149, X5.3 = 0.957, so the F value significant number showed that in personal check, or predictor variables was not significant (since significant value was above 0.05). So that could be concluded that all fitting level significance of SMK Negeri Malang with Special School (X1.1), the quality of mechatronic engineering SMK Negeri 8 Malang (X1.2), kualitas jurusan TKJ SMK Negeri 8 Malang (X1.3), certificated school ISO 9001:2000 (X1.4), school class room comfortability (X2.1), class room ratio (X2.2), laboratorium completeness facility (X3.1), the paint beauty (X3.2), monthly payment (4.1), more easier way to prove (X4.3), more easier way for down payment (X4.4), creativity level of the teacher in study (X5.1), the study mastering (X5.2), and how the teacher taught the students (X5.3) larger than 0.05 considered there was no different or the same position about female and male students about this school.
