Abstract

This research is a class action research. It is done to 43 students of class VII-E in SLTP Negeri 02 Sampang. The purpose of this research is to know whether or not the implementation of problem submission technique using “What if Not” strategy on geometry learning can improve cognition ability of Class VII-E students in SLTP Negeri 02 Sampang. The observation results show that the students often seem so please and active during the learning process of geometry material took place through the implementation of problem submission technique using “What if Not” strategy, because they are given an opportunity to submit problem and to decide the differ problem solving. Based on the initial test, it is obtained that the average data of students’ ability is 66.93% and 89.08% on the final test. It shows that there is significant increasing to the students’ ability after I, II, and III treatment. Besides, the 75%. It indicates that the implementation students have achieved score of problem submission technique using “What if Not” strategy on geometry learning is able to improve cognition ability of students class VII-E SLTP Negeri 02 Sampang.
