Abstract

This analysis of public transportation’s performance and availability conducted calculation method based on Directorate General of Land Transportation Number: SK.687/AJ.206/DRDJ/2002 About Technical Guidelines for Maintenance of Public Transport in Urban Areas on Fixed and Regular Routes. The result showed that the availability and the needs of public transportation in Pandaan with Load Factor of AUP PPT route is 76.09%, but the standard of Directorate General of Land Transportation is 70%, which means that the service of AUP PPT route is well-running. The frequency of AUP passenger PPT route is categorized well-running because of its averages to two-way and headway are 15.74 kend/hour and 3.90 minutes, of which the passenger’s waiting time is less than 5 minutes towards AUP. The average speed to two-way of AUP PPT route is 11.54 km/hour in 5.21 minutes/km, which means its speed is acceptable because of winding track which has the mileage of 17 km. The needs of transportation in the field is 65. The productivity of AUP PPT route is 53.62 passenger/day-kend or 3485 passenger/day. The estimation based on the average passenger is 9.15 pnp/day-kend (6 trips/day-kend) in one hour spending time towards PPT and TPP routes by 1.5 hour. The availability and the needs of PPT route, therefore, is still well-running to serve AUP in Pandaan.
