Abstract

Background : Teenagers is one of the risk factors forproblems overweight. This is caused by changing eating patterns such as fast food fast food which is high in calories and fat and also lacks physical activity such as exercise. The benefit of the combination of hight intensity interval training and resistance training is that it can lose weight by helping to overcome the amount of body fat and burning lots of calories. Objective : To determine the effect of the combination of High Intensity Interval Training and Resistance Training on weight loss in female students at Gontor Putri Kampus Lima kediri. Research Methods : The research design used was pre-experimental withapproach one group pre-post test design. Respondents in this study were teenagers in Gontor Putri Lima Kediri Campus. The total sample of 37 respondents who met the purposive sampling method. Interventions used in high intensity interval training are sprint and resistance training are sit-up. With research instruments using tread scales. Results : The results of the study with thetest Wilcoxon by giving an intervention in the form of a combination of high intensity interval training and resistance training showed the results of statistical analysis with a value of p = 0.000 <α = 0.05, the results of the data that H1 is accepted, can be interpreted exercise is interesting. Conclusion : There is a combination effect of High Intensity Interval Training and Resistance Training on weight loss in female students at Gontor Putri Kampus Lima kediri.
