Abstract

The demand for Aglaonema as an ornamental plant that is popular among ornamental plant lovers, and has a rapid impact on production activities at the production center. So that this research will implement an automation system that can monitor temperature, humidity, and light intensity and automatic watering control systems based on DHT22 sensors and automatic lighting control based on an Android-based BH1750 sensor using Arduino Uno. Uses 3 measurement variables, namely temperature and air humidity and light intensity. The tests that will be carried out are testing temperature and humidity and light intensity, testing the application of automatic watering and lighting systems, transmitting data, sending data to android applications and testing action features on automatic watering and lighting systems made on Android applications and also analyzing the effectiveness of system implementation against plants. The results of the tests that have been carried out showed the use of DHT22 sensors as a temperature and humidity measuring device has good accuracy. The results of the tests also showed that the use of the BH1750 sensor as a detector of light intensity has good accuracy. The action feature in the Android application has worked well, while data transmission with the help of a WiFi shield is accurate. The application of automatic watering and lighting systems has succeeded in reducing the temperature and humidity of the greenhouse light and also the application of the system has supported the mortality rate in planting Aglaonema.
