Abstract
Teachers as a profession must be able to conduct guidance and training and be able to conduct research and develop professionalism in a sustainable manner to fulfill the four teacher competencies .That it is necessary to conduct training to improve professionalism. This study aims to find out: 1) What are the steps taken by the management of teacher professional education as an effort to increase the professionalism of teachers at UMM 2), what are the obstacles faced by teacher professional education as an effort to increase teacher professionalism at UMM? This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used using documentation techniques, interviews and obse rvations. The results obtained are 1) implementation of PPG implementation, through a series of activities which include learning activities in the classroom, PPL in schools, a series of PPG activities to achieve educational goals that include: 1) printing professional teachers, 2) skilled teachers, 3) motivate teachers to become professional teachers, 4) teachers who have a positive impact on teaching activities in the classroom. The thing that hinders PPG UMM is influenced by participants' unpreparedness in implementing K13 based curriculum, because K13 is still not used by all schools
