Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of every human being in working is to get a wage that can suffice their daily needs. This has also been contained in Article 27 paragraph 2 of the Constitution 1945. Providing wages by employers should be more than or the same as the City / Regency Minimum Wage that already set by the Governor, but it is not allowed employers provide wages below the City / Regency Minimum Wage, unless the employer conducts a charge. In plantation companies, wages in accordance with City / Regency Minimum Wage are very difficult to do. Considering that in plantation companies there are characteristics which are not owned by other companies. Where plantation companies have provided 4 components in the Decent Life Component which are the benchmarks for determining wages. Including 4 of these components in the form of housing, provision of clean water, lighting / electricity and vehicles used to transport the results of the tapping of the daily workforce. In addition, climate factors also affect the production of this plantation company. The large number of workers are also one reason the planters cannot provide wages in accordance with the existing MSEs, because even the smallest wage increase can have a major impact on the company. In addressing the wages of the Association of Plantation Companies (GPP) agreed to implement wages for workers by referring to Article 94 of Act No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. Where in the Article mentioned 75% in the form of basic wages and 25% in the form of fixed allowances. PT. Kalianda Concern The Rubber and Coffee Plantation Kalijompo in Jember Regency is one of the plantations that uses this formulation. Actually, there is no regulation for this policy, which requires employers to issue the 4 components that have been provided to become permanent benefits. However, this must be separated because of the peculiarities of plantation companies. Regulations in the form of Government Regulations governing the implementation of wages in plantation companies are urgently needed to create justice for employers and workers.
