Abstract

Analysis of the learning outcomes of the midterm examinations in Natural Sciences (IPA) is an activity to find out how much the students' ability in mastering the material. With this midterm exam learning result, it can be seen material that students still do not understand. Research conducted in class IV SDN Turen 02 Malang Regency aims to find out how much the ability of students to understand the material Natural Sciences (IPA). This type of research used in this research is a case study using the research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. The research location is SDN Turen 02, Malang Regency, namely the fourth grade students. Data collection methods are observation, interviews and documentation with data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the results of the midterm examinations in grade IV SDN Turen 02 each KD students whose grades met the KKM standard and who did not meet the KKM standards differed among others: 1) KD 3.5 whose grades met the KKM standard were 15 students (68%) and 7 students (32%) did not meet the KKM standard; 2) KD 3.6 with 9 students (41%) have met the KKM standard and 13 students (59%) have not met the KKM standard; 3) KD 3.8 with 10 students (45%) fulfilling KKM standards and 11 students (55%) not fulfilling KKM standards It can also be seen that there are a number of factors which hinder the learning outcomes of the fourth semester of SDN Turen 02 class in natural science subjects. Factors that inhibit student learning outcomes in SDN Turen 02 include: a lack of interest from within students to learn and also a lack of motivation received to encourage students to be more happy to learn. In addition, the participation of parents who accompany students to study at home is still lacking and the environment in which students live is less conducive.
