Education in Indonesia should be directed towards the goals of the Indonesian people as listed in the opening of the State Law of the Republic of Indonesia, to educate the life of the nation. The character raised in the formal education process at the School contains 18 character values formulated by the Ministry of National Education which lead to the formation of educated children. Teachers in school should educate students to become smart kids. Smart kids are certainly educated, but educated kids aren't necessarily smart. Smart relates to characters that always do good things. Mathematics has special characteristics or characteristics as important knowledge in values education, as the foundation of character education: (1) mathematics deductive-axiomatic prepared, (2) inspired by agreements, (3) anti contradiction, (4) mathematics has many analogies, (5) mathematics can be independent and help other sector, (6) mathematics has abstract objects and (7) mathematics has a universe of discussion. Character Education through mathematics education is integrated in mathematics learning. The 18 characters presented by the Ministry of National Education, , integrated in mathematics learning so that there are 7 characters that are in line with mathematical characteristics.
