Abstract

Sugarcane is one of Indonesia's leading plantation commodities. This plant is used as a raw material for making sugar because it contains sucrose which is formed in sugarcane stems but, the need for sugar in Indonesia cannot be fulfilled so an alternative is needed to meet those needs. To increase sugarcane production, it can be done through expanding the planting area and increasing sugarcane weight per hectare. To increase soil fertility in the soil treatment can be done to add organic fertilizer in order to increase sugarcane productivity. The purpose of this study was to examine the comparison of the growth of 3 sugarcane clones (SB2, SB3, BL) on dry land conditions by administering several doses of organic fertilizer (Grand Tomiks). This study uses a split plot design method (Split Plot) arranged factorially with 2 factors, namely: first is 3 sugarcane clones, while the second factor is organic fertilizer (Grand Tomiks). Observation parameters included plant length, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of tillers. Observation data were analyzed using the f test at 1% and 5% levels to determine the effect of the treatment. Furthermore, using a 5% BNJ test. The results showed that there were interactions between sugarcane clones and fertilizer application on the parameters of stem height (28 to 42 HST), number of leaves (112 HST), stem diameter (14 to 84 HST), and number of tillers (42 to 112 HST).
