Abstract

Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) is one of the plantation species continue to receive attention for development. At the nursery phase success rate can be influenced by two factors: internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are factors caused by the seed itself is usually derived from the gene. The external factor is the factor of the success that comes from outside one of which is the growing media. The main nutrient elements that need to be added to the cocoa crop fertilization include nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium. In general, these elements obtained from the addition of inorganic fertilizers. Objective To assess the interaction of two variety cocoa plants and the provision of some waste biogas to the initial growth the cocoa plant (Theobroma cacao L). This study uses a split plot design (split plot) arranged as factorial with 2 factor were repeated three times: first are the two varieties of cocoa plants (sulawesi01 and MCC02), while the second factor is the liquid waste biogas. Variables include the observations of plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, width and length of the leaf, the amount of chlorophyll. Data were analyzed using Duncan 5% level to determine the relationship between variables. Based on the observations of all variables no interaction between treatment dose of liquid waste biogas and cocoa plant varieties. There is influence plant growth by providing biogas waste liquid at a dose of 200 ml at a variable length and width of leaves small leaves big age different observations. Sulawesi varieties 01 and MCC 02 to affect some observation variables.
