Abstract

This analysis is carried out to determine the operational costs of public transportation on the Bagong Bus for Malang - Blitar route and to find out the rates for public transportation in accordance with vehicle operating costs. Currently the price offered for adult passengers is Rp. 18,000 and Rp. 10,000 for students with the distance between these cities are 70.8 km, the travel time approximately 2-3 hours. Bagong buses start operating from 6.00 a.m to 9 p.m, with the capacity of 30 - 37 seats. This research method uses descriptive analytical approach which is not experimental and intended to collect the required data (primary data and secondary data) related to the research, then the data will be continued with the analysis process. This analysis is carried out to determine rates based on vehicle operating costs. From the results obtained from vehicle operating costs, the average Bagong Bus cost for Malang - Blitar routes are Rp.1,081,207,485 / bus / year. Based on the results of the calculation of vehicle operating costs obtained Rp. 2,600 / km / pnp and the rates that must be paid by passengers is Rp.14,000 /person and for student the rates that need to be paid is Rp. 9,000.
