Abstract

Students of SMPN 3 Kedungwaru that according to information from students of mathematics subjects have the value of subjects is still below the average value. This shows that students are still experiencing difficulties and are less motivated in the learning process. The focus of this study is how the students' mistakes in solving the mathematical problems of the subject matter of linear equations of two variable in terms of the motivation of learning in grade VIII students B SMPN 3 Kedungwaru semestar gasal lesson year 2018/2019? Qualitative research is a study that intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects such as behavior, perception, motivation, action, etc. holistically and by way of description in the form of words and language, in a natural context and with Utilizing various natural methods Subjects with this initial MSY represent students with learning motivation is quite seen from the motivation questionnaire dtwo by MSY, not so fond of math lessons. Subjects with NK initials represent students with excellent learning motivation, judging from the motivation questionnaire conducted by NK intrinsic factor was obtained that NK liked math lesson. Subjects with initials of this RAY represent students with motivation to learn less good, seen from the result of motivation questionnaire dtwo by RAY intrinsic factor is processed that RAY less happy math lesson. Subjects with this initials AF represent students with motivation to learn less good, seen from the results of motivation questionnaire dtwo by intrinsic factor AF treated that AF less math lessons
