Coronary heart disease is one of chronic ill which dangerous for the subject. In Indonesia, heart disease and cardiovascular predicted to be increased each year. Coronary heart disease is oneillness caused by ateroschlerosis (blood vein became thicker). The disease caused lack of oxygen and blood supply to human body. Most of coronary heart disease caused by bad lifestyle. Someone who sentenced to have coronary heart disease wouldn’t able to do his role as before he got heart attack since higher risk factor for the next heart attack. That’s why it is so important for someone who ill to keep his/her body functioned well. But there is so many subject unwilling to do sick role with various reason. That’s why the researcher has interest to do the research to find out how the sick role behavior in coronary heart disease subject and factors caused the subject run and didn’t run the sick role behavior. The research was qualitative descriptive research. The subject were three coronary heart disease subjects. The research was done by interview and observation. Data validation used source triangulation method. The research found that sick role behavior applied by all three subjects has similarity in their regularity in eating medicine, routine check to doctor, and also therapy. But there were so many differences in each subject when did their illness role. In subjects JK and IM, both of them did correct diet pattern and sport. While factors caused subject did the behavior was intention to be cured, in Rn subject, what caused the behavior didn’t apply was eating pattern considered not dangerous.
