Abstract
Background: Nephrotic syndrome is one of the most common glomerular diseases in children. The effects of Nephrotic syndrome, can cause serious complications such as pulmonary edema, anemia, urinary tract infection (UTI) and bronchopneumonia so that treatment of nephrotic syndrome in children depends on the role of the parents, especially the mother. This scientific paper was written to find out the efforts of parents in the care of children with nephrotic syndrome.Method: The design of this study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The samples taken were 3 participants, namely parents with nephrotic syndrome children and patients, in July 2019.Results: The study found 4 themes, namely parents' knowledge of nephrotic syndrome, parents' pattern of keeping diit, parents' compliance with drugs and utilization of health services.Conclusion: Parents' knowledge about nephrotic syndrome, can be seen from signs of symptoms such as swelling in the body, urine contains high protein. For clients with nephrotic pattern syndrome, keeping diit is very important, namely foods containing low salt, low in weakness and low in protein.Parental compliance give medication children to maximize healing. The use of health service, we can use to prevent, treat and diagnose a disorder experienced by someone at the beginning.
