Abstract

Tomato plants are horticultural crops that have high economic value. One of the factors in the low production of tomato plants is caused by the selection of varieties that are not suitable, the growth and development of tomatoes experiencing symptoms of micro and macronutrient deficiency. The use of liquid organic fertilizer based on livestock, rabbit urine as alternative fertilization that produces good plant growth and can be used in a longer period. This study aims to determine the response of several varieties of tomato plants (Solanum Lycopersicum L) on the use of rabbit urine organic fertilizer. This research was conducted in the Agricultural Experiment Garden of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, for 5 months starting from January 2018 to May 2019. Analysis using a split plot design which the main plot were three varieties of Ranti, Betavila and Servo, subplots namely rabbit urine with various doses of U0: Control, U1: 50 ml, U2: 75 ml, U3: 100 ml. Based on the results of the study showed a real interaction between the diversity of tomato plants with rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer on the number of leaves and fruit weight of the crop. There were significant differences in responses from three varieties of tomato plants to plant height, stem diameter, number of flowers, age of flowering, number of fruits, fruit weight per fruit and fruit set (%). There was an unreal response from the treatment of rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer to all ages of observation.
