Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) family of pumpkin or Curcubitaceae plants vegetables that are harvested at the time of the fruit is still young. Cucumbers can be cultivated in the area-wide the fields, in the house or in greenhouse. The production of Cucumbers has a good potential ity be developed by the farmers to meet the needs of community life. However, the production of cucumbers in Indonesia is still very lower. Based on the BPS (2016), the averange production 13.37 tons/ha to 14.86 ton/ha, whereas its potential can reach 20 tons/ha. Therefore it is necessary to increase the viability and vigor of cucumber seeds increase the growth of cucumbers optimally by the immersion method. Soaked cucumber seeds using concentrations of coconut water were 25%, 50%, and 75%, while the concentration of KNO3 used was 0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3%. This study to look at the influence of soaking the concentration of coconut water and KNO3 against quality and roomy cucumber plants. The study is located in Laboratory and on Pendem University of Muhammadiyah Malang for 3 months. This study used a Randomized Complete Design factorial Design and to Randomized Mixed Group factorial and repeated as much as 3 times. The data obtained was analyzed using the F test and tested using the BNJ appeal level 5%. Variable observation consists of 3 phases. The germination phase was conducted in the laboratory to find out the quality of the seed with the parameter PTM (growing potential maximum), DB (germinated), KCT (grow), IV (vigor index) showed there are a real interaction and influence on the 8th, 16th, 24th, and the 32. The growth phase in the field with the variable observations of the number of leaves, and the effect of plant length was not significant at factor 1 and factor 2, while the results phase in the field with the observation variable the number of male flowers, the number of female flowers, the number of fruits and the weight of fruit (g) the results showed no significant effect on the factor 1 concentration of coconut water and factor 2 concentration of KNO3.
