Abstract

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) is one of the volatile oil-producing plants. Adaptation of plant growth by used stem cuttings are usually quite slow even cause death because nutrient owned plant cuttings on the wane. In order to keep getting the nutrient intake after plant cuttings then by giving the media that can full fill the needs of plant nutrient that is by using the mycorrhiza vesicular-arbuscular. This research aims to know the influence the use of mycorrhiza vesicular-arbuscular and planting media types against the growth of cuttings of rosemary plants. This research was executed in January-June 2019 in plantation experiments area and Agronomy Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture Animal Husbandry, University of Malang Muhammadiyah. The experiment is done using Random Design Group (RAK) Factorial. The first factor is the dose of mycorrhiza i.e. 0 g, 10 g, 15 g, and 20 g per plant. The second factor is the type of planting media, that is grumusol soil, alluvial soil, and mixed media: alluvial soil: charcoal's chaff: manure (4:3:3). The observation variables consisted of plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of buds, stem diameter (mm), the rate of growth (g/day), root length (cm), and the infection percentage of mycorrhiza (%). The research shows that granting mycorrhiza gives influence on plant height, the number of leaves, diameter, growth rate, and the length of the root. Each factor is good for the growth of rosemary is the D20 and MC. Based on the data already obtained results for rosemary cuttings growth found in the best combination is D20MC.
