Abstract

There is a security utility in the construction of a building, one of which is a clean water installation system. The right clean water installation system is needed to support or service the water needs of a building. Not only that, fire extinguishing systems are also very important to protect buildings and occupants from fires. fire extinguishing systems must be designed in accordance with fire protection standards prepared to prevent, extinguish and cope with fires in buildings. Clean water needs are calculated based on the type and number of plumbing tools. The head loss calculation on the pipe uses the Darcy-Weisbach equation. The amount of water requirements in the dental and oral hospital building in Brawijaya University Malang is 6.03 m3 / hour. Pipes used are pipes with sizes ranging from ½ inch - 5 inches. The capacity of the Ground Water Tank is 27 m3 while the roof tank capacity is 12 m3. The capacity of Ground Water Tank is 288 m3. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the building included a mild fire hazard classification and was designed to have 4 outdoor hydrant pillars, 2 indoor hydrants on each floor, 66 APARs, and a Wet Pipe System with 854 sprinklers. Calculations are carried out referring to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in force.
