Abstract

coast and Ghana, so it is not surprising that cocoa is a mainstay of plantation crops in Indonesia. Fruit rot disease damages cocoa pods in Indonesia with significant losses. This disease is caused by P. Palmivora. According to Tahi etal., (2007) & Kusumadewi (2011), this pathogen has attacked all parts of cocoa growing. Fruit rot is a serious threat to the production of cocoa on Java. Rates of P. palmivora attacks vary, more than 10% occur in Peninsular Malaysia and 80-90% in Cameroon. In Java, losses due to this disease reduce yields 33-50%. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) method. RAL is arranged factorially with 2 parameters. The first factor was Trichoderma sp. Type, the second factor was Phytophthora palmivora type, all treatment combinations were repeated 3 times. So Trichoderma sp. there are 4 and the type of P. palmivora there are 4 total 4 x 4 = 16 x 3 = 48. Antagonistic test data or percentage of removal of Trichoderma sp. P. palmivora was analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and then further testing using 5% BNJ. Trichoderma isolate sp. origin of Jember district and Trenggalek district were able to act as antagonists against P. palmivora with the highest inhibitory value of 78% from Trenggalek district of Suruh sub-district and lowest inhibitory power of 70% from isolates of Jember district of banjarsari sub-district. Trichoderma sp. from Trenggalek district, Suruh sub-district (TR1P1) 70% more effective against the causes of cocoa pod rot disease (P. palmivora) from Trenggalek district, Suruh sub-district. Characteristics of Trichoderma sp. The origin of Trenggalek Regency and Jmber Regency in inhibiting the growth of Phytophthora palmivora has the same type, namely Trichoderma harzianum.
