Abstract

ABSTRACT Mochammad Noval, 201510260311066. The Effect of Different Spreading Solids on Growth and Survival of Seabass Fish (Lates Calcarifer) Phases in Low Salinity. Supervisor I Dr. Hany Handajani, S.Pi, M.Sc and Second Supervisor Dr. Hariyadi, S.Pi. M.Sc. The research was conducted in May to June 2019 at the Laboratory of Fisheries, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, East Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different stocking densities with the recirculation system on the growth of Seabass fish at low salinity and obtain stocking densities to produce high growth and survival rate in the maintenance of White Snapper fish that are maintained in the low recirculation system. The method used in this research is the experimental method. In this study using 4 treatments (P1 (1 animal / 2L), P2 (2 animal / 2L), P3 (3 animal / 2L), and P4 (4 animal / 2L)) each treatment was repeated 3 times and randomized in one aquarium experiment. The main parameters observed in this study were the results of measurements of growth rates of specific weights and lengths (SGR), survival rate (SR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and efficiency of Feed Utilization (EPP) of Seabass fish seeds, while for supporting parameters that were The observations were observed on the quality of aquaculture media including temperature, pH, DO and salinity. The data analysis technique in this study is to use ANOVA (analysis of variance) and proceed with the Least Significant Difference Test on parameters that get a real difference. The results showed that the average value of SGR was the best in treatment P2 (2 tails / 2L) with a mean SGR weight of 0.90% and a long SGR of 0.78%. Furthermore ANOVA results and LSD tests also showed that P2 treatment was the best treatment compared to other treatments. The best feed conversion ratio value is at treatment P1 (1 fish / 2L) with a mean feed conversion ratio of 1.31. Furthermore ANOVA results and LSD tests also showed that the P1 treatment was the best treatment compared to the other treatments. The best value of feed utilization efficiency is on the implementation of P1 (1 fish / 2L) with an average efficiency of feed utilization of 76.91%. Furthermore ANOVA results and LSD test also showed that the P1 treatment was the best treatment compared to the other treatments. The largest survival rate (SR) was in the treatment P1 (1 fish / 2L) with a survival rate (SR) of 66.7% . Furthermore, the ANOVA results showed that the P1 treatment was the best treatment compared to the other treatments. This is because the stocking density applied is suitable for fish life.
