Abstract

TESTING ENDURANCE PLANT SUGAR CANE (Saccharum officinarum L) TO SMUT (Sporisorium scitamineum Syd) Oleh:Renita Wahyu Puji Lestari; Pembimbing I: Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Roeswitawati, M.S. ; Pembimbing II: Dr. Ir. Dian Indratmi, M.P SUMMARY Plant cane is one important commodities has the endurance and. high economic valueIn the years 1928, indonesia has become a country second largest sugar exporter after cuba with the production of 3,1 million tons per year with rendemen 13,8 %.But decrease because, disease one of a plant disease the sugarcane is difficult to handle a smut. isA smut can lead to considerable losses in the production of sugar cane, not only in quantity but also the quality of sugar cane produced including rendemen. the cane fieldsA smut attack on sugar cane varieties that are vulnerable can cause to lose more results than 60 percent ( bhuiyan.2012 ).Then need to be done testing endurance plant cane on plant disease fire The purpose of this study was to give a breeding in vitro causing fungi wound fire scitamineum sporisorium depreciation . And compared with the collection of the field for testing endurance with varieties cane sensitive and hold .The design used in this research ( ) shelf , the random factorial group , the second factor macam-macam first treatment macam-macam varieties , 3 with treatment and repeated as much as 10 times using 2 different varieties and got 60 units experiment .Parameter observation covering: characterization microscopic and makroskopis pathogens , symptoms pathogenic attack , emerged early shoots , tall plant , the attack of a disease , number of leaves .The data were analyzed using the standard 5 bnj % to know the relative proportions of treatment .Correlation analysis conducted to determine the relationship among the observed .Data processing using microsoft excel 2007. The results of the endurance test cane acquired at kb 17-11-110, varieties this disease resistant varieties is wound fire with the transmission of in vitro treatment which was slower than treatment contracting soaking or pengolesan directly on a mule plant cane healthy
