Abstract

Character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is an initial foundation as the character formation of a nation. Current character education seems to be starting to disturb all parents, teachers and also National education. Education that has been implemented in MI Darul Quran through structured religious activities is held in the religious schools. MI Darul Quran implements religious activities as an effort to implement programs in madrasas to shape the character of Islamic students, people who excel and have moral character. The aim of the application of character education in MI Darul Quran as an answer to parental anxiety and national education is to achieve success in forming national character. MI Darul Quran applies the value of character education with habituation to students every day. Based on this description, the problem statement that we will examine is a) what are the educational values of the character in MI Darul Quran? B) How do you implement character education values in MI Darul Quran? The purpose of this study is an initial text as a benchmark for knowing the value of character education applied through religious activities and to know the form of implementation of character education through religious activities in MI Darul Quran. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews and documentation. Expose data by using data reduction models, data displays and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Character values applied in madrasas include the values of discipline, honesty, caring, responsibility, courtesy, sincerity, almsgiving, and also tolerance, (2) implementation of character values in madrasas by applying habituation refraction through religious activities is continuously and structurally erroneous.
