Abstract

This study aims to produce media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) material on theme 8 natural events, Subtema 4 natural disasters, Lesson 4 for elementary school students at grade I. The media made based on requirement analysis in SDN 4 Bareng Malang and SDN 2 Ampeldanto. GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) is media which made of wood and consist of trees, houses, animals, and mountains miniature. This media can be used in three subjects, Bahasa Indonesia, PJOK, SBdP and may be operated by students. This research uses ADDIE media development with five stages which consist of analysis, planning, development, implementation and evaluation stage. Results of this study indicate that media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) is interesting to use and effective in support learning process that can help students to understanding the subject. Based on Experts recommendation and validation results, it show that media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) can be tested. It’s proved by validation results from material expert that reach 91.60%, from media expert reach 87.50%, and from learning expert is about 86.11%. Media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) at SDN Bareng 4 Malang and SDN Ampeldanto 2 can be stated that effective and supported by pretest results at SDN Bareng 4 Malang that reach about 89.90%, 60.80% for posttest result, psychomotor score in term of operating media GEGUBATA got 75%, and also effective score reach 91.25%. Whilst, at SDN Ampeldanto 2 got pretest score result at 88.75%, posttest score reach 50%, and psychomotor score in term of operating media GEGUBATA reach 90.62%. Meanwhile, the increase in pretest and posttest score at SDN Bareng 4 is 92%, while SDN Ampeldanto 2 is 87.50%. The use of media GEGUBATA at SDN Bareng 4 Malang received good response with the results of student response in questionnaire is about 86.11% and teacher responses about 86.11%, while at SDN Ampeldanto 2 got 100% in student response and 86.11% for teacher responses. Therefore, media GEGUBATA can be stated that attract students to used it in learning process. In this research, author suggest that media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) can be used for first grade of Elementary School Studies on Theme 8 natural events, Subtheme 4 Natural Disaster, Lesson 4 to help students and teachers achieve learning objectives and make learning process more interesting. Based on that explanation, it can be concluded that media GEGUBATA (Bencana Alam) can be applied in more than one school with same requirement analysis.
