Abstract

This study discusses the visa-free policy applied by Indonesia by answering the formulation of the problem "The thought of the Indonesian government to increase the number of recipient countries for free visa policies in 2016". What is the purpose of this study? What is the reason? What drives the government to increase the number of recipients of free visas in 2016. Indonesia, which is rich in cultural diversity and natural beauty, can be used to develop the tourism sector. The Indonesian government made changes to visa-free policies by increasing the number of countries three times in the past year. Types of explanatory research using the Adaptive Model analysis model from foreign policy analysis by James N. Rosenau. According to the adaptive model explaining the policies issued by the state is a response to external changes and support from internal factors. External factors that influence competition between Indonesia and Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand in the government sector related to Indonesia that develop potential by using a visa-free policy with the aim of improving the country's economy. In the visa-free policy program in 169 countries, through the tourism sector it managed to increase foreign exchange earnings. This also has an impact on the movement of labor and the struggle for acquisition figures in Indonesia. Malang, January 22nd 2019
