Abstract

The research titled “Analysis of Financial Performance on PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero). The research purpose was to find out financial performance of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) from 2008 to 2009. Analytical tools used to find out PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) performance, first of all was component ranking statement of all CAMELS factors, they were capital (KPMM, capital composition, DPO), asset quality(KAP1, KAP2, KAP3), management (general management, risk management, obediance), Rentability (ROA, ROE, NIM, BOPO), Liquidity (liquid asset < 1 month and LDR), Sensitiveness to market risk (interest rate sensitiveness and exchange value sensitiveness). Second, CAMELS factor ranking statement used to determine composite value, and the third, determine score and rank or criteria of financial performance. The amount in CAMELS sector as Bank of Indonesia standard, that was in composite 1 (score > 45) with “extremely health” predicate, composite level 2 (35 ≤ score ≤ 45) with “health” predicate, composite level 3 (25 ≤ score < 35) with “health enough” predicate, composite 4 predicate (15 ≤ score < 25) “lack health” predicate, and composite level 5 (10 ≤ score < 15) with “unhealthy” predicate. Analytical result using CAMELS method PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) in 2009 and 2008 period with composite value 28,5 and 27,5 in the third rank, that was 25 < score < 35 with health predicate. According to above analysis, data analysis using CAMELS (Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earning, Liquidity, dan Sensitivity to Market Risk) showed that PT. Bank Tabungan Negara performance in 2009 and 2008 were health enough. Keywords: financial performance, capital, asset quality, management, rentability, liquidity, and sensitiveness.
