Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of exposure to broadcast the program“LEMPUNGDUMAS” against the public perception of public services in Blitar regency. So the purpose of this study was to measure the average exposure to the program “LEMPUNGDUMAS”, to find out what the public perception of the trend of public service Blitar regency, to see whether there is any effect and also know the size of the effect of exposure to the program “LEMPUNGDUMAS” Persada FM Radio Blitar perception public about public services in Blitar regency. Theory used in this study are the Moderate Effect Theory, which assumes that in the process of receiving messages, in addition to the media, there are many factors that influence. This research was conducted on the listener program “LEMPUNGDUMAS” in The Village Babadan, District Wlingi, Blitar regency aged 25­50 years. Village Babadan chosen as the research is that strategic area, so access to public services easier and places nearby. This study is a survey method that uses a quantitative approach and the type of explanatory approaches. While the data analysis technique is to use the technique of Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that the average exposure to the program “LEMPUNGDUMAS” is 2.325, so that middle category. Then the average trend of public perceptions about public services Blitar regency is 3.132, so that it can be said to be in the positive category. Well known correlation coefficient (r) equal to 0.359, so it can be said that there was an effect of exposure to broadcast the program “LEMPUNGDUMAS” with public perceptions about public service and acknowledged that its influence is weak. In addition, also showed that the coefficient of determination (r2) equal to 12.88%, which can then be interpreted by 12.88% that the public perception of public services is affected by exposure to the program “LEMPUNGDUMAS” amounted to 87.12% while the public perception of public service influenced by variables or other factors not addressed in this study. Based on the findings above, note that this study reinforces Moderate Effect Theory used in the study provides a foundation of assumptions.
