Abstract

Sharia commercial banks have the objective as financial managers and providers and seek all instruments to use sharia norms and provisions. Funding and landing are the main activities of Islamic banking. Funding is an activity of raising funds from the community. Public funds are divided into three, namely savings, current accounts and deposits and have been explained and allowed in accordance with the Shariah provisions in the MUI fatwa No: 01, 02, 03 / DSN-MUI / IV / 2000 Landing is the activity of channeling funds to people who need funds, one of the products is murabahah financing. The fatwa of the MUI with number 04 / DSN-MUI / IV / 2000 concerning murabahah financing is permitted and does not violate Islamic sharia. The performance of Islamic commercial banks can be said to be healthy if the number of levels of profitability is high. Profitability ROE (return on euity) is a ratio to assess a company's ability to generate profits from shareholder investment. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of third party funds and murabahah financing on ROE (return on equity) profitability in 2013-2018. The population in this study were Islamic public banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2013-2018 totaling 13 companies. The method of determining the sample using a purposive sampling method, by taking several criteria that have been listed, the number of samples is as many as 12 Islamic banks. The research data uses secondary data taken from the annual report of each sharia commercial bank in 2013-2018. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that 1). Third party funds have a positive and significant effect on ROE profitability. 2). Murabahah financing has a positive and significant effect on ROE profitability.
