Abstract

This research based on need analysis on 8 December 2019 at SDN Mojolangu 5 Malang from preliminary observation and interview. It is found that SDN Mojolangu 5 Malang need additional teaching materials because the teacher only relies on the teaching materials from the government. The student became bored and lack of deepening on the teaching materials that the teacher use. The LKDP used contain theory and simple exercises like changing Javanese script to Latin and vice versa. The purpose of the study is to develop LKDP theory on writing Javanese script based on concept sentence. The research model used is ADDIE. The stages taken in this research are: 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Implementation and 5) Evaluation. The data is collected through observation, interview, learning outcomes, questionnaire, and documentary. The data is analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative method. The research findings show that 1) the development of LKDP theory on writing Javanese script based on concept sentence is valid, it can be seen from the percentage of the validation from the expert. Theory validation 93.75%; teaching materials 75%; and language validation 91.66%. 2) students response toward LKDP theory on writing Javanese script based on concept sentence show very interested with 88.49% percentage. From these findings, it can be concluded that LKDP theory on writing Javanese script based on concept sentence can be applied as additional teaching material to fourth grade elementary students.
