Abstract

Today, technological advances demand an increase in the security of one's privacy. One aspect that gets attention is the security of storing files and sending files using the internet. Securing an image message can be done by changing messages using visual cryptography methods. Visual cryptography works by destroying the original message into a number of random images, commonly called shares. There are two categories of shares that can be created by visual cryptography, namely meaningless shares and meaningful shares. Meaningless shares is a method which can encrypt images and make the image into an image that cannot be identified. Meaningful shares is the development of meaningless shares, where the created shares can still be identified as an image. One algorithm that belongs to the meaningful shares category is user-friendly. Today, there is a lot of development of visual cryptographic algorithms, one of which is the modification of a combination of user-friendly algorithms and universal shares. This algorithm is believed to increase the security of encrypted messages. A series of tests was carried out to test the combined performance of the algorithm.
