Abstract

Pre-eclampsia is one of the causes of maternal mortality. Pre-eclampsia can occur repeatedly, many pregnant women who experience recurrent pre-eclampsia in the second or third pregnancy which is motivated by gestational age, antenatal care or ANC that is not according to the rules and concomitant diseases experienced by pregnant women. This research method uses a qualitative approach carried out with a case study research strategy. Retrieval of data on three participants using a purposive sampling approach and to validate using triangulation of data. Data collection is done by semi-structured interviews and documentation and then the data is analyzed using the domain of analysis. The results of this case study found two themes namely predisposing factors and precipitating factors. Factors underlying the occurrence of recurrent pre-eclampsia are derived from a history of pre-eclampsia in a previous pregnancy, a history of illness suffered by pregnant women, excessive intake or use of salt, excessive activity and lack of rest and psychological conditions or excessive stress.
