Abstract

Background: Acute myocardial infarction is a condition where blood flow to the coronary arteries is blocked so that it can cause myocardial ischemia. This blockage is caused by a buildup of plaque consisting of cholesterol, fat, and metabolic waste. This condition is characterized by symptoms of chest pain radiating to the back, shortness of breath, to overcome the pain needed nitrate therapy (ISDN) that works on the effects of venous dilatation, as well as the provision of other therapies such as anticoagulants, antiplatelets, antihypertensives, and antidislipidemia. Objective: This study aims to determine the pattern of ISDN use in IMA patients including dosage, route, frequency and duration of therapy. Method: This study was a retrospective observational study by taking a medical record (RMK) for period IMA patients at the RSUD dr. Saiful Anwar period January 2016 - August 2018 Results and Conclusions: The pattern of ISDN use in patients with acute myocardial infarction was used singly in 24 patients, the use of a single ISDN was the most (3x5mg) PO in 20 patients, the use of a single ISDN with a change of ISDN (5mg / hour) IV → ISDN (3x5mg) PO, ISDN (3x5mg) PO → ISDN (0.5mg / Hour) IV, ISDN (3x5mg) IV → ISDN (3x10mg) PO, ISDN (2mg / hour) IV → ISDN (3x5mg) PO, ISDN (0,5 mg / hour) IV →ISDN (3x5mg) PO in 5 patients.
