Ascaris Lumbricoides cause Ascariasis, various effort have been done to treat worm disease, one of them is by antihelmentic. The problems are the side effects of antihelmentic the knowledge and income of people are still low. The estimated substance of dekok pinang seed that has antihelmentic effect is Arekolin. The aimed of the research was to know the effect of dekok pinang seed against Ascaris lumbricoides in vitro. The total sampel were 150 female or male Ascaris lumbricoides, concentration dekok pinang seed were 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. The result of dekok pinang seed in concentration 25%, 50%, 75%, 100 % and salin to mortality rate ofAscaris lumbricoides were: the fastest mortality of Ascaris lumbricoides was in dekok pinang seed consentration 100% and the longest by salin. By Anova test showed that there was difference mean of Ascaris lumbricoides mortality among the groups of treatment ( P<0.01). By Ganda tukey test showed that the concentration of dekok pinang seed 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, was significant. By Corelation­Regression test and the correlation coefficient ( R = ­ 0.987) showed strong relation ( p) < 0,05 between concentration of dekok pinang seed with the worm mortality, the higher there was of concentration of dekok pinang seed will excess the mortality worm . The conclusion was dekok pinang seed have antihelmentic effect to Ascaris lumbricoides. Four kind of dekok pinang seed concentrations ( Areca cathechu linn) and saline showed the significant differences ( p<0,01) toward mortality of Ascaris lumbricoides, five groups of treatments ( concentration and control of dekok pinang seed ) have significant differences of each other. Further research is required to do some clinical test because 100 % concentration of dekok pinang seed used in the long term can cause side effect to human body.
