Abstract

Background: Self-medication is the way used by Indonesia society to buy medicine without a doctor prescription to avoid their pain. This self-medication is to protect their bodies. Research Purposes: The purpose of this research is to know the influence of headache medicine advertisement on television in order to select self-medication for the society especially in Beji Village, Junrejo Subdistrict, Batu City. Research methods: This study is a type of analytic descriptive research and the approach of this research is quantitative. The research instrument used was a valid and reliable questionnaire. Variable used is tow, namely the independent variable with a complete and not misleading objective insulator according to the criteria for drug advertising on television in PKBPOM number 8 of 2017 and the dependent variable. Results and Conclusions: The total of sample is 97 respondents. The result of the Spearman rank correlation test count count 0.529 (alpha = 0.05; N = 97) and the r table value is 0.195 (N = 100). Therefore, advertisements for head-shaped medicines on television on the selection of medicines in the Karang Jambe Hamlet, Beji Village, Junrejo Subdistrict, Batu City. The result of simple linear regression test from the similarity linear regression Y = -0.611 + 0.607x. The action of self-medication increases around 0.607 (b). Each unit added one unit of the headache medicine advertisement on television. In the t (partial) test the most important is the indicator is not misleading.
