Abstract

This study aimed to analyze humanist mathematics learning in junior high schools in terms of social interaction. Humanist mathematics learning was researched for 8th grade students of SMPN 1 Mojokerto. Data collection techniques used were RPP documents, observation and interviews. Data was presented according to human indicators viewed from social interactions. The data was presented in the data recapitulation table. The table was in the form of a data suitability score with humanist indicators that were reviewed from social interactions and narrative texts in the form of evidence of learning activities. The results of the study showed that mathematic learning for 8th grade in SMPN 1 Mojokerto had applied humanist learning with appropriate categories with humanist learning indicators that were viewed from social interactions. This can be seen from the RPP that the teacher has made in accordance with the humanist learning syntax. Based on observations that in the learning process the learning process has no pressure on students. This can be seen from students given the freedom to express opinions and make students as the main subjects in learning. This shows that the learning process has applied humanistic mathematical learning in terms of social interaction. This research was useful for teachers to be able to create innovative learning models according to the characteristics of the social interactions students have.
