Abstract

Business Process Reengineering is a concept to change business process that has weakness in the process. It is aim is to improve the organization to be more efficient and competitive. Lembaga Bahasa(LC) is language center at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) that has responsibility to develop student’s foreign languages and also it has an important role in improving officers, foreign languages ability at UMM. The flow of business process service to student or customer in the Lembaga Bahasa requires time and there are several processes that expend excessive costs and use of paper. This research aim to re-engineer focused on business process, escalate the competitive ability in several business fields, identify and assess existing business processes, determine and design processes that are regenerated by prototyping and initiating business processes. The test shows different throughput efficiency tests, starting from the business process to check the student’s exhaustive grades requiring two minutes average where in previous way it was needed twenty nine minutes with and efficiency test of 100% and resource utilization is 100% for students. Furtheremore, the results of translation and proofreading business process generate an average time 1.466 minutes and it results 1.471 minute where previously there were 1.955 minutes with 100% efficiency test throughput results and resource utilization result at 1,36%, 1,63% for customers and students, 98,64% and 98,37% for community service or translator.
