Abstract

This research aims to develop a Flash-based interactive media that emphasizes the students 'written mathematical abilities on the material of one variable linear inequality and to determine students' responses after using the product. The lack of students' written mathematical abilities, especially on material, one variable linear inequality was the reason why media development was made. The product was applied to class VII at MTSN Hasbul Ulum Tajinan. The research subjects used 6 students. The development of interactive media used research and development (R & D) methods. Research and development methods (R & D) have 6 steps, namely (1) potential and problems, namely observing and gathering library information, (2) collecting data, which is collecting data on material and written mathematical communication indicators, (3) product design, namely making interactive media based on indicators, (4) product validation, namely testing media feasibility, (5) product revision, namely improving interactive media, (6) product testing, which is testing media. The results of media development showed that the feasibility of the media and the appropriateness of the material adhered to the classification of "Valid" and "Practical". While the results of product trials got a student average response value of 4.59 which corresponded to the "Very Good" classification.
