Abstract
Control system has a very important role in the advance of science and technology. For instance, the automation works in ignition of motorcycle which uses a card. This tool or system is high security level and is also expected to make human’s work more efficient. This tool obviously uses microcontroller AT89C51 as the main controller. To open ignition of motorcycle needs an identification card and confirmed password which consist of 4 combination numbers. Identity sensory is created by optocoupler functions to identify a card from which the data are taken out as guidance microcontroller to compare with the data taken out by keypad. Keypad’s function is to enter password programmed in IC microcontroller AT89C51. If the card and entered password are correct, the driver will be on and then the motorcycle ignition will be standby as well. On the contrary, if certain mistakes happen in entering card and password 3 times, then, alarm will automatically sound. However system will become normal if the correct card is entered.
