Abstract

The Effect of Islamic Values Implementation Towards Student’s Character Building at Islamic Junior High School of Surya Buana Malang; Santi Rosana Dewi (201510010311084), Islamic Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Youths nowadays are so worrying. Parenting, social life, environment, and mass media are the basic things that build attitudes and behaviors of an individual. Those things determine whether an individual will behave in a good way or the other way around. Education which comes along with Islamic-based materials and activities is expected to become a solution that influences the way of thinking, attitudes and behavior of individuals in order to become good human beings. Prophet Muhammad had conveyed that the main purpose of education is to build a good character. This is the reason why this research was conducted. The focus of this study was to know and to explain the student’s character building at Islamic Junior High School of Surya Buana Malang. This research was associative by using quantitative approach with survey research format. The data collections were observation, questionnaires and documentation. The result showed that there is a significant influence of Islamic values implementation to students’ characters building at Islamic Junior High School of Surya Buana Malang. was and there was a strong correlation between those two. This result proved that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It meant that there is a correlation between two variables.
