Abstract
The Government, especially, the Local Government considered the most essential part for poverty reduction process and food endurance. East Java nowadays still became the centre of food producing in Indonesia. But if the Local Government was not aware of replacing the field area to the buildings, it would threat the food endurance in East Java. That problem was discussed in UMM Rector's meeting room, Thursday (5/7). "Strategi Kebijakan Program Ketahanan Pangan dalam Perspektif Kesejahteraan Rakyat" was taken as the theme of 1st Workshop of East Java Food endurance. It was present by Indonesian Ministry Coordinator for Welfare, cooperated with UMM.
