Abstract

It has become commonplace when the accident occurred at the junction between the railroad tracks to the highway must have been the first time in the blame is the officer railway doorstop. In several case, someone who should be blameworthy is the road user because still forced to break through the railway doorstop which had begun to close, but in some of officer railway doorstop are plead guilty in work especially when hearing the alarm and cause delayed or evenforget to close the railway doorstop, when every job must have been designed in a such way as to make implementation work can be done easily. Purpose of this study was to determine how the workload of the officer railway doorstop is. This study is a descriptive qualitative research with a number of subjects as many as three people who have the status as an officer of the railway doorstop. Data collection methods were used is interview techniques. Data analysis technique was used a descriptive qualitative analysis. Research results found that the officer railway doorstop work in the three shifts with a rotating shift system, all officers railways doorstop does not complain about the time when they get work shift (morning, noon or night). Some of the officers doorstop railways also have experienced working on night shift over three times in continuous days and consider this usual because they still have time to rest on tomorrow morning or noon. Working as officer railway doorstop requires high vigilance and often hit by a sense of saturated or bored, suitable for this kind of work carried out by someone that tends to calm, steadfast, patient, consistent, controlled, and able to survive under the pressure. the tasks being performed by officer railway doorstop is not a lot of mandatory, there are closes and opens the bar door railways, maintaining the 100­meter rails to the left and right, and keep the environment clean and also the bathroom. Equipments are needed can also be used easily, so one officer railway doorstop can carry out the work.
